The new Hyghspin pumps, made of stainless steel and with a surface finish of Ra ≤ 0.4, are designed for use in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

Technological processes in the above-mentioned industries have specific features associated with increased hygiene requirements for industrial and laboratory equipment.

In many cases, production is carried out under sterile conditions, and the presence of even a minimal amount of foreign matter in the final product is unacceptable. At the same time, the processed media are rarely neutral with respect to metals, which imposes special requirements on the choice of construction materials for the manufacture of pumps.

Hyghspin twin screw pumps not only fully meet the above requirements of the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry, but also ensure extremely gentle handling of the product. The pumps are made of stainless steel with a surface finish of Ra ≤ 0.4. Mechanical seals made of FDA-approved elastomers are located in the product flow area. The absence of gaps and dead space avoids contamination in the form of product residues or mixtures. In addition, the collapsible design allows for easy cleaning of internal cavities. When using CIP non-contact cleaning technology, the pumps can be sterilised at temperatures up to 145 °C. Hyghspin pumps can be used for the production of creams, ointments and liquid soaps, among other applications.

The axial flow design of Hyghspin pumps ensures a smooth and steady flow of product at a relatively low velocity. This avoids foaming of the liquid soap during transport and ensures a smooth flow with little or no pulsation at high inlet suction capacity.

The high wear resistance of the casing and screws makes the pumps suitable for use in viscous media with abrasive impurities, which is typical for some types of products in the cosmetics industry. The pump speed can vary from 5 to 120 rpm, and thanks to modern technology, the effect of heat generated by the drive on the product is minimal.
