Engine maintenance

The low-power motors have long-term lubricated bearings that are maintenance-free. From frame size 180 and above (22 kW at 3000 rpm or 18.5 kW at 1500 rpm), all motors are equipped with bearing lubrication nipples. For motors with certain types of protection, the lubrication intervals must be indicated on the nameplate. For all other motor types, the shaft bearings must be lubricated every 2000 operating hours (at an ambient temperature of 25°C). At an ambient temperature of 40°C, the specified lubrication intervals should be halved.
For pumps equipped with a bearing bracket with grease, the oil level in the oil pan should be checked regularly once a week. Change the oil after 3000 operating hours or at least once a year.
The thick grease in the bearings of the base supports must not be replaced. These bearings are sealed for the entire service life, which is approximately 20,000 operating hours. This value is approximate. If you suspect that the shaft bearings are defective or show signs of wear (e.g. vibration, noise, etc.), they must be replaced.

Sealing contact rings

The sealing ring should be checked weekly for leaks. A few drops of leakage per hour may occur when a new pump is first started up. The reason for this is that the sealing surfaces of the seal contact ring have not yet developed. After 10 hours of operation, the leakage should disappear completely. If the sealing contact ring is defective, it must be replaced as a complete set: i.e. slip ring, counter ring and elastomers. When opening the pump casing, the pump casing seal should be replaced at the same time.

Spare parts

We recommend using only original spare parts for maintenance and repair work. Only in this case can reliable operation be guaranteed and the certificates issued with the pump will remain valid. When ordering spare parts, please make sure to quote the pump type and serial number shown on the pump nameplate. The sealing rings and O-rings must be stored in a dry and cool place, free from temperature fluctuations.
