Single-stage centrifugal pump FP
Packo's FP series pumps are designed and constructed to meet the most stringent hygiene standards (European EHEDG and American 3A) and are mainly used in the food and processing industry. The FP66 and 68 series have motor outputs of up to 2.2 kW, the FP2 series up to 22 kW and the FP3 series up to 45 kW.
FP2 food-grade (single-stage) centrifugal pump with power up to 22 kW
Manufactured from stainless steel, the FP2 single-stage centrifugal pumps are Packo's highest quality solution for food and process industries. Designed to meet the most stringent hygiene requirements (CIP/SIP) and in accordance with 3A (USA) standards, the FP2 series was the first in the world to be awarded the EHEDG (EU) hygiene certificate. What's more, the intelligent modular design, which combines standard components and parts, ensures a highly functional design. The FP2 pump range has a capacity of up to 125 m3/h, a lift height of up to 120 m and an engine power of up to 22 kW.
Stainless steel 316L
All surfaces in contact with the product are made of stainless steel of at least 316L grade. The pump casing is made of cold-rolled thick-walled metal sheet, which ensures 100% absence of micropores and absolute surface smoothness. The impellers are manufactured using the investment casting method, followed by surface finishing.
Electropolishing
The last stage of processing surfaces that interact with the pumped medium is electropolishing. This process ensures the lowest possible surface roughness, high adhesive properties and, as a result, easy surface cleaning and the highest possible bacteriological cleanliness of the equipment. Electropolishing also ensures a high degree of corrosion resistance due to the high percentage of precious metals such as chrome and nickel on the surface of the product.
Gap-free design
The design that eliminates stagnant zones in all pump elements - casing, back cover, impeller and seals - combined with optimum internal turbulent flows, ensures that the most modern hygiene requirements are met.
Rigid mono construction
The pump casing and back cover have the required wall thickness. The massive stainless steel pump adapter with large inspection holes enables visual assessment and easy repair of possible leaks. A stainless steel motor frame and casing (designed to significantly reduce vibration and noise during operation) are available as optional equipment. The advantages of the open impeller are: low liquid column height above the pump suction inlet, excellent handling of air-saturated liquids, no axial load on the motor bearings, no blockage (clogging), low pressure in the stuffing box (increased service life).
Standard components
The mechanical seal (stuffing box) is dimensioned according to DIN 24960. Only one seal diameter is used for the entire pump size range. The pump applications determine the wide range of available types, configurations and materials of seals. The motors are manufactured in accordance with IEC or NEMA standards. Depending on the specific requirements for the product, motors may have special characteristics (safety requirements for operation in explosive atmospheres, type of current, rated voltage and power, speed, type of mechanical characteristics, overload capacity, starting, control and braking properties, etc., as well as the motor design in terms of mounting and fastening).
Areas of application
The Packo FP2 series pump is mainly used in the food and processing industry. The most common applications of this series are for pumping media such as milk, eggs, soya, beer, wort, wine, fruit juices, soft drinks, alcohol, sourdough, starch, vegetable and essential oils, sugar/salt solutions, blood, light chemicals, solvents, detergents, water, etc. They are also used in the technological cycle of CIP-washers. The FP2 series has a capacity of up to 125 m3/h, a lifting height of up to 120 m and an engine power of up to 22 kW.
