Submersible centrifugal pump
The casing of the IM submersible centrifugal pump is submerged in the pumped liquid. A special feature of this type is the absence of mechanical seals, which makes it ideal for pumping hot oil.
Packo's ICP-IM series of pumps are vertical submersible pumps.
They are designed to be installed in an oil sump or other containers so that only the pump casing and impeller are exposed to the pumped medium. The peculiarity of their application is characterised by the difficulty of installing and using mechanical shaft seals, as well as the impossibility of using shaft support bearings. These pumps are most often used for pumping boiling oil, metallised finishing coatings, abrasive slurries, etc.
