Types of pumps for sugar factories
Centrifugal pumps
Used to transport large volumes of juice, syrup or condensates. Cast iron or AISI 316L construction, impellers resistant to abrasion.
Screw pumps
Stable feeding of viscous flows (molasses, syrups, suspensions). Operate without pulsations, suitable for dosed feeding to evaporation or crystallisation units.
Peristaltic pumps
Effective for pumping abrasive and aggressive suspensions, including lime milk and sediments. Contact only with the hose, easy replacement of consumable parts.
Gear pumps
Accurate delivery of syrups and viscous solutions. Maintain stable pressure and flow under variable conditions.
Diaphragm pumps
They work with chemical reagents (flocculants, antiseptics) and abrasive suspensions. They are resistant to aggressive environments and are suitable for auxiliary processes.
